Phillm Productions was founded by David J Phillips in 2013. Unlike other independant production companies intent on producing generic quick turnover films, or ego-driven products, the goal of Phillm Productions is to take the due diligence to develop projects that speak on a more visceral level and offer something deeper and different than the normal. Highlighting the complexities of the human condition in all of its raw facets is the goal of all Phillm Productions.
David has fiften feature films under his producing belt in the past decade which have all garnered distribution - seven with theatrical releases, four that were featured on Netflix, and one that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

During the COVID-19 pandemic David had two films released: 'Eat Wheaties!' distributed by Screen Media starring Tony Hale with Elisha Cuthbert, Alan Tudyk, Paul Walter Hauser, and Sarah Chalke; as well as "Mighty Oak", a kid's movie with Janel Parrish + Rayven Simone distributed by Paramount Pictures. Earlier this year, his biopic film "The Maestro" was released starring Xander Berkeley (The Walking Dead) & his wife Sarah Clarke (24). He was an Executive Producer on "Entertainment", a dark comedy that premiered at Sundance starring John C. Reilly, Michael Cera, & Tye Sheridan. In 2016 he produced the gang drama "Badsville" starring Emilio Rivera, as well as the sex comedy "Amateur Night" with Jason Biggs & Ashley Tisdale. That year his female buddy comedy "Moments Of Clarity" was released that starred Lyndsy Fonseca.

His Latino crime thriller "Line Of Duty" did extremely well theatrically in Texas and featured Sean Patrick Flanery, Vivica A. Fox & Will Estes. Though most of David’s experience is in film, in 2013 he also helped produce the reality show pilot “Covert Kitchens” with master-chef Graham Elliot for Spike TV.

He began his producing career in 2010 with three films: "L!fe Happens", a well-received hit starring Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson and Kristen Ritter, the Christmas movie "A Holiday Heist" that is still on ION TV every holiday season and stars Lacey Chabert, Vivica A. Fox, and Chris Kattan, and the comedy "Boy Toy" starring Morgan Fairchild.
